OUR SERVICES
Wildlife, Botany, Rare and Endangered Species
Projects in the Northeast sometimes occur within habitat for wildlife species that are protected under state or federal Endangered Species Acts and Regulations. Oxbow has specialized for more than 25 years in assessing Threatened and Endangered Species and their habitats and providing permits to help projects meet the applicable performance standards. Oxbow staff have more than 60 years of experience in evaluating rare wildlife and facilitating permit compliance.

Oxbow Associates also provides wetlands and rare/endangered species services to clients throughout New England.
Invasive Plant Control
Oxbow is uniquely qualified to conduct spot treatment of invasive plants for ecological restoration projects (wetlands, buffer zones, and terrestrial) while also identifying and evaluating the health and condition of the planted and native species.
Oxbow has been working on this Japanese knotweed problem at a historic home where the plant was even growing through the foundation and into a crawlspace. See the stunted, but healthy leaves in the window. After three years, it is close to being under control.
