Cambridge Entomological Club (CEC)

Jul 17, 2024

Scott from Oxbow is a volunteer for the Cambridge Entomological Club (CEC) and has been involved in ecological research in the White Mountains since 2007. This year, the CEC celebrates our 150th anniversary, and we just returned from the first of two events in the White Mountains of New Hampshire (see attached flyer).

The objective of these events is to gather people who are knowledgeable about insects to explore the mountains of northern NH and teach anyone from the public about the fascinating world of insects and insect ecology around New England. As our Club explored the White Mountains when they first formed in 1874-1875, we are now revisiting these same areas and inviting entomologists, amateurs, and the public to join us for presentations and field outings. What a great way to learn more about biodiversity and learn about ecology!

See the attached flyer and take a look at the photos below from this past weekend at Pinkham Notch, The Glen House, Mount Washington Auto Road, the old Halfway House site, Alpine Garden, and Hermit Lake.
